We are looking for a talented and inquisitive Manager (Engineering) whose drive for learning and determination for continuous improvement aligns with our ambitious, fast-growing and transforming company. Based in Boston, you will be a key player in planning, designing, building and testing the features of our next generation cloud platform that combines digital video assets, wearable data and athlete information to provide insights and analytics to coaching/support staff, sports scientists and athletes to assist in optimizing athlete performance. Our software engineers match this ethos by taking responsibility for constantly improving productivity and development of self and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment with your short project timelines from conception to deployment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Develop products used by professional and collegiate sports teams to ingest/edit video, as well as log/analyze associated metadata, in a Client/Server/Cloud software environment
  • Hire and manage a cross-functional agile development team, including Engineering, QA, and SDET roles
  • Collaborate closely with other agile teams on cross-team initiatives
  • Lead team meetings, including grooming, planning, retrospectives, and standups
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a high level of quality in our products, by reviewing code, test plans, and architecture designs
  • Improve code quality through code reviews, with an eye towards maintainable, efficient, modular, and reliable code
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of reusable and reliable code to solve a variety of customers needs while considering existing technology, architecture and processes
  • Drive continuous improvement and refinement of best practices for engineering, testing, and agile processes

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 5+ years hands-on development experience in Object-oriented programming languages (C#, c++, Java)
  • 3+ years experience managing a cross-functional agile development team
  • Experience interviewing, hiring, and onboarding a team
  • Experience delivering and supporting customer-facing desktop applications (Windows), mobile applications (iOS, UWP), and/or web applications (ASP.NET), as well as backend Cloud web services
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Ability to closely collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with other agile development teams
  • Ability to work closely with customer support team to triage and address issues
  • Ability to use agile development management software (Jira) to run agile team meetings, author work items, generate reports, and maintain a prioritized backlog
  • Willingness to work hands-on with a team, through code reviews, test plan reviews, debugging issues, designing features, and breaking down work items
  • Understanding of test-driven development, unit test frameworks, and continuous integration
  • Experience leading UI test automation projects is preferred
  • Experience working with relational databases (MS SQL) is a plus
  • Experience working with audio and video editing applications is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
