JOB DESCRIPTION

Carvana is looking for a Product Manager to re-envision a large portion of its Pre-Purchase Experience. Pre-Purchase is the most consumer-centric portion of Carvana.com's online car buying experience - encompassing:

  • Home Page Experience
  • Search Algorithm and Search Page Experience
  • Vehicle Product Pages

As a Pre-Purchase Product Manager, you will be tasked with making the best possible first impression on customers. You'll work closely with senior product managers and data analytics teams to develop unique insights for new product refinements and opportunities. Our joint goal is to convert site visitors into car buyers using amazing on-site experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES…

You will analyze data, work closely with design and engineering to scope releases, write detailed requirements, and prioritize features and bugs.  You’re also expected to be the leader of your team, ultimately responsible for the success of projects and the long-term trajectory of your KPIs.

Additionally:

  • Participate end-to-end in the product life cycle, especially market research, customer development, and requirements gathering/consolidation
  • Be actively involved in interpreting analytics and customer data
  • Collaborate with Carvana's Engineering, Creative, Marketing and Customer Advocate teams

THE QUALIFYING CANDIDATE MUST HAVE...

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
  • 2+ years product management experience
  • Ideally experienced in the technology sector, financing sector, or automotive sectors (not a requirement)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work with both technical (e.g. engineering) and non-technical (e.g. creative, marketing) teams to accomplish a common goal
  • Have bias towards action
