The Team You’ll Work With

Carta is opening its first office in India. As our first marketing hire in India, you will partner closely with our India Managing Director on the ground in Bangalore to grow Carta’s brand reputation and guide its direction in the region. You will also have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with local product and business leaders, agency partners, and our global demand generation marketing team. You’ll join members of our team to evangelize Carta's value proposition to democratize equity ownership, educating the market on how we are democratizing equity ownership, and help us increase financial literacy for all. Members of our team have created and sold TV shows in Hollywood, been on the floor of Congress during the financial crisis, written political viewpoints on financial issues, and led the rebrand of Carta from eShares. 

The Problems You’ll Solve 

As one of the first members of the Carta India team, your main focus will be managing top of funnel activity and constantly improving on our product market fit. 

  • Build Carta India’s brand from the ground up, creating and executing the strategy to take Carta India from 0 to 1, and then from 1 to infinity
  • Coordinate with the US marketing team to craft Carta’s brand in India and spread our value proposition in the market 
  • Manage the entire marketing workstream for Carta India, from roadmap to budget
  • Over time hire and build the India marketing team to help bring Carta’s entire product suite to Bangalore and other key regions
  • Increase top of funnel demand and awareness through local ecosystem sponsorships, market education content, emails, ads, and anything else you decide
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our target buyer and their needs
  • Collaborate with CSM’s, Sales and Product Management to constantly iterate on messaging to maximize Carta’s Product Market Fit
  • Determine and track the important metrics which drive long term success of our primary goal of start-up ecosystem penetration

About You

We’re looking for someone highly focused, customer-centric, who knows how to work in a dynamic environment with lofty revenue targets.  Cross-team collaboration and communication is critical to success in the role, as well as efficient time management. In addition, we’re prioritizing someone who has: 

  • Deep knowledge of growth marketing techniques and tactics

  • Hunter mindset in understanding how you can best drive demand to Carta India

  • Built a brand from the ground up or helped an established brand innovate 

  • Has a proven track record of brand localization, campaign strategy, execution, testing & optimization for large brands

  • Extensive knowledge of the local ecosystem; relationships with key players is a nice-to-have

  • Real-world marketing/advertising experience, with ad agency experience a plus

  • Passion for scaling new companies, products, and category creation

  • Pride in their work and view what you do as a part-owner and builder of Carta

  • Created processes that helps us scale mixed with the flexibility needed to innovate

  • Comfort working with data and complex domains
