The Team You’ll Work With
This role is on the Enterprise team within our Corporations Business Unit. We are the flagship product of Carta and we provide Equity Plan Management for Private and Public companies. Today, we manage upwards of 1 trillion in equity!
The Enterprise team is a collaborative and passionate group of professionals that includes product managers, engineers, designers, customer support and sales. We’re united by a common mission to create more owners and simplify equity management. We place a high premium on experimentation and validated learning and we focus on being values and mission-driven, not didactic or prescriptive.
The Problems You’ll Solve
We’re growing our team to deliver the features and scale required for Enterprise and Public companies. More specifically, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers as they build features needed by some of our largest customers. These may sound foreign, but a few examples of those features could include:
- International support
- ISO/NSO Splits
- Tax calculations
- Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
- Post-term Exercise Periods
- Performance Awards
The Impact You’ll Have
You’ll work on building products that meet the needs of our largest customers and our Corporations business unit is responsible for over 70% of Carta’s annual recurring revenue.
As an Engineering Manager, you’ll spend a third of your time mentoring and managing Engineers that report to you, a third of your time coding, and the final third helping set priorities, shape technical direction, and create the velocity necessary to land complex deliverables on time.
You’re a strong people manager with 2+ years of experience leading high performing engineering teams and 5+ years of experience as a full stack or backend engineer. You’re excited by the idea of developing scalable production quality backend systems and working on projects end-to-end. Our stack is React, Python, and Django -- this experience is appreciated though not required. We need a strong communicator who is comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across the org to understand business requirements and build thoughtful solutions.
