The Team You’ll Work With
You will be joining our newest vertical at Carta called CartaX. The CartaX team is creating more owners by removing restrictions on when and how employees exercise equity. Our team is building a greenfield marketplace that will allow the trading of shares in return for liquidity for employees of pre-IPO companies. CartaX will be the world’s first vertically integrated financial marketplace for private securities.
The Problems You’ll Solve
As employees of pre IPO companies we are provided equity but the majority of individuals will fail to see a return as less than 2% of VC backed startups go public. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all transactions via CartaX, building tools around payment systems and security movement within the platform. Ultimately, you'll build tools that will provide equity owners access to assets that are historically restricted.
Some of the problems you’ll help us solve are:
- How to securely build internal tools for ops in order to manage money and securities.
- How to build internal account ledgers and integrating with 3rd parties and banking systems.
- How to manage integrations with 3rd parties integrations with Carta and various banking services.
You have senior level experience solving complex technical challenges with backend languages such as Python, C++ or Java. You have knowledge and practical experience with multiple types of databases and their accompanying use cases (Relational, Time series, Warehouse, etc.. ). You have experience working with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy your systems. You have experience with Message passing architecture- Kafka, ZeroMQ. Proven experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
