As a Senior Software Engineer - Client Services on the Liquidity team at Carta, you’ll work on CartaX, an issuer centric electronic trading platform offering tailored liquidity programs for privately held companies, funds, and other fractional assets.
Specifically, you’ll be part of the team responsible for building and running the backend services providing features such as order management and handling, market access, and the matching engines.
The Liquidity team is looking for creative problem solvers to work on a greenfield initiative to build a marketplace for private securities, CartaX.
Work closely with the product team to develop and build the customer facing workflows that drive interaction with our transaction platform
Design, build and interact with a large variety of internal API’s
Works with product directly to help shape and form requirements for complex, large scale initiatives
7+ years full stack or backend engineering experience, with strong systems fundamentals
Experience with service oriented architecture
Strong industry experience in the architecture and design of scalable front and backend systems
Experience building services or middleware in python or java
Experience designing and building APIs
Strong communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast paced team environment
Experience architecting complex SaaS products
Experience working closely with product and compliance stakeholders to understand business requirements and build thoughtful solutions
Experience in financial markets or fintech.
Experience working for a regulated entity and what comes with that.
