The Strategic Sales Manager is a senior individual contributor role within the Direct Field Sales organization.  This position is responsible for generating substantial amounts of new revenue of an assigned product - namely Dealer Rater.  Individuals will need to have a results-oriented attitude as well as be highly mobile to travel within their assigned market location.  Sophistication in communication and collaborating with internal departments  is a must.


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and aggressively grow unit sales and revenue of specific products in the assigned transition market territories
  • Set realistic expectations with customers and prospects regarding products purchased
  • Retain customer base and increase dealer satisfaction
  • Become the subject matter expert for assigned product
  • Perform strategic account planning by identifying opportunities to integrate the company’s products and services with the customer’s business processes
  • Mentor, train, and coach assigned market sales personnel on how to effectively sell and service all designated products
  • Work with Director, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and other Direct Field Representatives to attain individual product sales goals through planning and in-market execution
  • Motivate sales personnel to grow unit count on specific product sales
  • Collaborate with sales management, team members and cross functional departments on individual market needs to meet product sales goals
  • Provide weekly updates utilizing designated reporting to team members and management team
  • Represent at various industry events
  • Will work out of home office and have a valid driver’s license
  • Travel around the U.S. up to 80% of the month or as required

  • College degree preferred
  • At least five years of strong business to business sales experience with demonstrated coaching and mentoring competence
  • Experience as a Strategic Sales Manager (SSM), Digital Media Senior Representative (DMSR) or Digital Media Consultant (DMC) equivalent experience with an Affiliate, for at least two years
  • Proven success in a sales position in terms of revenue retention and net growth
  • Sales experience is a significant revenue market
