About the Role:

Reporting to the Tax Director, the Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing schedules and obtaining data to support the tax provision process, gathering and analyzing data to be used for the U.S. tax compliance function, and providing tax support as needed for acquisitions, divestitures and special projects. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision in OneSource Tax Provision system
  • Draft quarterly and annual tax footnote disclosures for SEC reporting and actively participate in the quarterly Financial Statement audit process
  • Prepare income tax return workpapers for all business entities and participate in weekly calls with the outside Accounting firm to ensure complete, accurate and timely filing of all income and franchise tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly federal and state income and franchise tax estimated payment calculations and ensure timely payment of all estimates
  • Assist with the annual research and development tax credit study
  • Oversee the return preparation and filing process performed by the outside Accounting firm and perform the monthly sales tax account reconciliations
  • Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors used to prepare various tax filings
  • Assist with the successful resolution of tax notices and completion of federal and state tax audits
  • Analyze tax process workflows, identifying and proposing/implementing solutions to mitigate inefficiencies or internal control issues
  • Assist with in-sourcing the federal and state income and franchise tax compliance process
  • Ensure compliance with tax-related SOX controls, including documentation and execution
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned to assist the Finance organization

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws
  • Intermediate knowledge of ASC 740, Income Taxes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously  
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Drive to identify and resolve inefficiencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, Finance/Accounting emphasis preferred, MST a plus, CPA preferred
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • OneSource experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
