The Opportunity is seeking a social media associate capable of implementing innovative social media practices for an industry-leading marketing team. This position will work with multi-functional teams on high-priority campaigns and projects.  As such, a key requirement is a positive and flexible attitude mixed with a high-energy passion for professional growth.   

  • Utilize social publishing and analytics tools like Spredfast, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Crimson Hexagon to identify opportunities and insights
  • Create and maintain content calendars for all social platforms
  • Handle post creation and content uploads following latest platform specs
  • Utilize social media management tools like Spredfast to engage with consumers and respond to comments and posts in real-time
  • Collaborate with the brand team, editorial, and communications team to deploy integrated marketing campaigns seamlessly
  • Enforce Social Media Guidelines and best practices, while continuing to update the team on the latest creative trends in social and community management
  • Analyze results of ongoing social activity and large-scale campaigns, including overall success, insights, and ROI to determine future courses of action and share results with the team during weekly updates
  • Partner with paid social media team to sync on creative optimization
  • Stays on top of emerging social trends and provides on-going recommendation for incorporating them into social strategy
  • Live event coverage, including on-site posting, photography, interviews, and networking
  • Manage executive social handles as needed

The Ideal Person

  • Lives and breathes social media and actively participates on any of the most popular platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Understands how social networks work inside and out, including functionality and user experience
  • A passion for writing – and a keen eye for grammar and style
  • Is a pro at presentation tools like PowerPoint/Google Drive, and social listening tools like Crimson Hexagon
  • Is both a creative and strategic thinker
  • Has exceptional communication and presentations skills
  • Embraces an agile, testing and learning approach to all things across social in order to optimize the program on an ongoing basis
  • Great attention to detail, excellent organizational and project management skills

You bring

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media platforms or communities for brands
  • An obsession for all things social – an understanding of each platform and emerging opportunities 

Bonus points

  • If you have an undergraduate degree in communications, marketing advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields
