Summary/Objective
The position, based at our San Carlos, CA Headquarters or remotely and reports to the Head of Product.
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team to play a key role in the development and management of a health and wellness app. The Product Manager will work closely with the head of product, the development team, stakeholders, and customers to create and prioritize product features, define user stories, and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in product management, experience in the wellness industry, and a passion for creating innovative and user-friendly products.
Essential Functions/What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities to enhance the app's functionality and user experience
- Work in partnership with UX/design to create wireframes for new/revised features
- Create tickets with user stories, requirements and detailed acceptance criteria
- Ensure the development team understands the product vision and requirements by providing clear and concise product direction
- Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap
- Prioritize backlog and grooming tickets
- Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
- Analyze and incorporate preferences and requests of end users
Competencies/Qualifications/Experience/Education
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Understanding of design quality standards
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to work with and across teams
Requirements:
- Technical background with knowledge of digital product development and web technologies
- Team spirit and good communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, or similar role, preferably in the health and wellness industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making. Ability to use data analytics tools is highly desired.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello
- Understanding of app development processes and technologies, including iOS and Android platforms
- Passion for health, wellness, fitness, and healthy living
