The Role:

We are looking for the next Engineering Manager to join our Product and Engineering Team. This Engineering Leader will partner closely with Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to solve member, customer, and business needs while driving increased member engagement and positive outcomes toward fertility and family-forming journeys globally.

You will guide the performance and careers of your engineers while managing the team’s execution of our roadmap, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with the product team and stakeholders to shape and deliver value in alignment with our business goals.

In addition, you will provide technical direction, support the team with technical expertise, and contribute hands-on when needed. While your primary focus is leadership, you should be comfortable diving into code, reviewing designs, and unblocking engineers to drive execution. You may be asked to own the delivery of strategic efforts, balancing hands-on execution with delegation to maximize efficiency and support team growth.

You will also contribute to shaping our Engineering organization’s evolution, working alongside other Engineering Leaders owning and improving various aspects of what it means to be an effective Engineering organization at Carrot.

The Team:

  • We are a fast-moving, adaptable, and highly collaborative group of skilled Engineers, Engineering leaders, Product leaders, and Designers, working with teams across the organization cross-functionally to enable cohesive solutions across the product and business.
  • We favor a Lean approach to our product development, following the parts of agile that work best for us.
  • We’re empowered to make local decisions, reducing the overhead of getting things done.
  • We highly value having effective feedback mechanisms alongside empowerment to support continuous iterative improvements in all we do, to achieve better outcomes together.
  • We welcome new technologies and are constantly self-evaluating our tools to ensure they are solving our needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in an engineering management capacity
  • You have 2+ years of experience in a Senior-level Engineer IC capacity
  • You thrive in leading through complexity and ambiguity, adapting to emerging challenges and business demands, while thoughtfully but pragmatically considering tradeoffs to make informed decisions.
  • You understand that there is not a one-size-fits-all decision engine for how we build Carrot’s product. A blank piece of paper doesn’t scare you, and you are excited to contribute to products from the ground up.
  • You are comfortable interfacing across an organization, collaborating closely with various functions, and influencing the direction of solutions to meet goals.
  • You build strong relationships and trust among your team and cross-functionally to enable higher impact of the work you are doing together.
  • You understand that varying personalities and backgrounds will represent engineering competencies and principles in different ways.
  • You celebrate your team, and you find the time to provide feedback to your teammates, understanding the value of feedback.
  • You take pride in our mission: fertility care for all.

Compensation:

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
