As a People Experience coordinator at Carousell, you will report to the head of People Ops and work with and help the leadership team by looking out for our colleagues’ basic needs and welfare. You will make sure that all the administrative and office operation tasks are handled effectively and on a timely basis. You will also help to facilitate and ensure all internal and external communications. 

We are looking for someone who is extremely organised, able to multitask, and can anticipate and act on the organisation’s needs. We would want to work with a candidate who is able to care deeply for all your colleagues, go the extra mile to help them and encourage stronger team spirit.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Ensure that our Taiwan office is well-functioning and has a homelike environment; the office has to be fun, clean and conducive, for example:
    • Coordinating with the team to ensure cleaniness of the office
    • Organise in-office recreational activities such as board/card games sessions or even KTV sessions
    • Regularly stock-up our pantry; it is important to make sure everyone is well-fed
    • Manage the bookings of meeting rooms and ensuring that our office assets are well-maintained
  • Help with People Operations
    • Facilitate timely payroll 
    • Insurance and pension coverage
    • Procurement of IT equipments, in general, anything to help our team get settled and serviing our community
    • Help with onboarding and be a culture champion
    • Actively looking at ways to improve the experience of working at Carousell
  • Organise (with support from colleagues) team-wide activities for example:
    • Weekly Family Fridays. Family Fridays is an informal All-Hands Meeting held every Friday, where we have lunch together as a “family” over presentations by our colleagues
      • Gather announcements from various team representatives
    • Monthly welcome dinners for new joiners and birthday celebrations
  • Take charge of internal communications within the organisation (include our international teams)

  • Aid with recruitment selection and interviewing 

  • Coordinate travel logistics and arrangements (e.g. transportation, accommodation) for International and HQ teams, for business trips, training and onboarding sessions 

  • Provide discreet personal assistance and secretarial support for our Senior Management team
    • Monitor and coordinate logistics needs for business trips and meeting schedules
    • Manage administrative procedures for meetings (coordination and setting up

How do you know if you are suitable?

You will posses the following requirements/skill sets

  • A cheerful and bubbly personality
  • Excellent communicator, prior work experience in a service/customer facing role is a plus
  • Able to organise and prioritise work effectively with minimal guidance
