We are looking for a Regional B2B Marketing Director who will oversee the General Classifieds Trade Marketing teams to ensure the proper implementation and monitoring of initiatives.

The Regional B2B Marketing Director will be reporting directly to the CCO. The role will proactively engage with the various business units in the company and ensure that the marketing plans and activities are aimed at growing and retaining paying customers for Carousell in the General Classifieds categories across the region. 

You will:

  • Develop the overall Trade Marketing plan and strategy aimed at increasing the demand of professional sellers to use the Carousell platform with clearly identified success metrics and ROI
  • Design and build the Trade Marketing organisation within the Commercial business
  • Develop and define what success looks like for Trade Marketing, creating KPI’s to measure and drive revenue growth and engagement
  • Understand and align on key initiatives of business leaders to draft Trade Marketing agendas
  • Introduce thought leadership into the Trade Marketing function with concepts such as life cycle marketing, CRM, and new technologies
  • Create a business unit that supports and drives revenue growth in a scalable and impactful way
  • Acts as a key leader within the Commercial organisation and company
  • Manage the trade marketing budget to ensure cost-effectiveness of projects
  • Establish key partnerships to establish a leadership position in priority segments
  • Closely work with the Ads squad, Consumer marketing team and Digital Marketing team in ensuring constant pipeline of leads from digital channels
  • Regular coordination and alignment with various business unit heads to ensure Marketing and Communication plans support business objectives
  • Coordinate with the key people from the headquarters for and regionally trade marketing initiatives
  • Support the local sales teams to ensure their success
  • Debate and influence key stakeholders to drive an ultimate goal
  • People Management
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Trade Marketing team members with clearly defined OKRs
  • Lead, coach, and improve the performance of team members effectively through continuous feedback
  • Handle and liaison with multiple freelancers and agencies if needed

You have:

  • Bachelor’s/College degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing or Advertising preferably focussed on Trade and monetisation
  • Experience with engagement marketing and thought leadership
  • Experience working in Automotive, Real Estate, General Classifieds, Advertising and Tech-related business
  • Strategic thinking and an outstanding problem-solving skills and overall positive attitude
  • Experience in setting up teams and work-flow processes
  • Flexibility to thrive in a lean organization
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and works well with various teams
  • Able to recognize and take appropriate action to effectively address problems and opportunities
