You will:

You will be responsible for the success of  the paid services we offer to sellers in Singapore, to maximise revenue growth and user adoption. The scope will include all categories and sectors in Singapore, excluding cars and property sectors. This includes

  • Identify channels to acquire and scale SMB merchants to onto Carousell across Southeast Asia
  • Hire, manage, and coach a SMB sales team to meet individual, category, and regional sales goals
  • Develop new ads revenue products and recommend pricing and promotion strategies to target seller groups
  • Understanding different seller groups in the marketplace through internal data, user research and competitor studies and customer support inquiries
  • Monitor Carousell’s competitive positioning for business sellers across all categories and adjust business plans accordingly
  • Executing sales plans to grow self-serve coin subscriptions and team-led preferred merchants program
  • Launch curriculum and recruit freelancers for Carousell Certified Pro program
  • Conducting training workshops and organising events for sellers
  • Manage P&L and establish systems to support sales team to meet KPI
  • To conduct quarterly merchants interviews to understand their needs and user experience and relay to internal product and seller services teams
  • Build annual plans through managing relationships and fostering trust with cross-functional partners and having strong understanding of customer, product and channel development and opportunities for innovation

You have:

  • A degree in business administration, marketing or related field​
  • At least 4 years of experience in media sales or B2B small business management
  • Solid knowledge of user engagement, marketing and sales principles
  • Proven success in hiring, growing, and managing sales teams
  • Project management experience, including multitasking to run, lead or execute multiple time-sensitive projects in parallel
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Fluency with media sales monetisation metrics
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to communicate across all levels
  • Resourceful, driven and a team player
