Candidate should have a solid background in digital and analog designs from prototype to production. Typical designs are battery powered devices for remote sensing (IoT) but also includes designs for satellite communications and wireless gateways. Consequently, candidate should have a broad experience able to design with micro-controllers, processors, analog circuits, and power supplies. Must be proficient with standard tools used in hardware development, like schematic capture and PCB layout.
Since many of our products are battery powered, expertise in battery and power conversion circuits is essential, such as DCDC converters, regulators, and battery charging and management circuits for low power applications. Experience with primary batteries is a plus.
We also design LoRA gateways and satellite products, so familiarity with RF design at the system level is a plus.
Experience with technical management of contract manufacturing operations is a plus.
Experience using lab equipment --oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators --is a must. Candidate should be able to bring up and debug designs.
Ideal candidate should demonstrate high level if ownership for driving a project from concept to production. Must be able to manage tasks with little oversight with the ability to prioritize accordingly. Finally, an enthusiastic "can do" attitude is essential.
