About the role

The Expansion Strategy and Analytics Manager will oversee market planning and real estate expansion strategy for the company. This role will execute, iterate on, and help to automate our demand forecasts by analyzing customer behavior and developing sophisticated models. This role encompasses the unique combination of analytics, strategy, and cross-functional partnership. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Strategic partnership with the Development team to advise on expansion strategy (i.e., regional expansion strategy, trade area selection, kitchen size) 
  • Future-state revenue forecasting for each prospective Wonder location, helping determine economic viability for potential new sites 
  • Owning projections to inform near-term budget and strategic planning, and long-term capital allocation decisions, in partnership with Finance and Investor Relations 
  • Delivery radius determination and creation for each new site to determine near-term and future-state serviceable market, in partnership with Operations and Marketing

The experience you have

  • Market planning or geographic expansion experience in a company with a significant brick-and-mortar footprint. Bonus points if experience is in the food and beverage industry 
  • Significant experience building complex financial and operational models using Excel and leveraging GIS databases 
  • Ability to think beyond the numbers and use business judgment to inform key decisions 
  • Experience working cross functionally within the organization and translating cross-functional requirements into relevant models 
  • Experience communicating with senior executives and other internal stakeholders to convey complex analytical frameworks in a clear and concise manner
  • Bonus points: Experience with Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, and geospatial and demographic databases (i.e., US Census data, ESRI)

Base Salary Range: $120,750  - $136,500
