About the team

Careem finance function operates as a business partner for various verticals of Careem whereby Senior Specialist - FP&A is a critical part of the Strategic Finance team and is responsible for the P&L management of the Verticals. 

What you'll do

  • Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plans
  • Work with Business teams to build their annual budgets and forecasts
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Utilizing BI (Tableau, Redash & SQL) tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance
  • Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations

What you'll need

  • Qualified CA/ ACCA or CFA preferred
  • 4+ years of related experience creating financial reports and analyzing the results to provide strategic
  • Strong grip on SQL is preferrable
  • Strong financial modeling skills and experience with budgeting & forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results oriented, strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask
