About the Team

The Careem Strategy and Value Creation team sits at the center of Careem’s strategy and plans for becoming the leading Super App in the region. It works closely with C-Suite and leadership to drive focus and decision-making on one of the most important priorities for the company: to effectively collaborate with Careem’s key strategic partners and investors, e& Group and Uber.

About the role

We’re looking for a self-driven, high-energy, and detail-oriented Strategic & Value Creation Senior Manager to join our Value Creation team and drive the relationship between Careem, e& group, and Uber. You will be crucial in identifying, developing, and executing projects that enhance our market presence, operational efficiency, and overall value proposition across our investors and partners.

The role will have the following responsibilities:

Define the value creation strategy:

    • Identify how our different businesses work with our strategic partners - Uber and e& - to strengthen our Super App value prop and offering
    • Identify and size the opportunities, drive prioritization, and focus on the highest impact programs

Implement cross-functional value creation initiatives:

    • Lead cross-functional, cross-company projects from inception to delivery, while managing timelines, targets, and project scopes
    • Define goals and OKRs to help ensure execution and focus
    • Prepare and present regular progress reports to C-level management, providing insights and recommendations based on project outcomes and performance metrics

Relationship building and debottlenecking:

    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across Careem, e& group, and Uber to ensure alignment and facilitate effective collaboration
    • Quickly ramp-up to new topics as they come your way, and find ways to best connect the right stakeholders to reach joint consensus
    • Identify potential bottlenecks and find creative ways to work around them 

 What you'll need

    • Top tier education background
    • 3-5 years of professional experience in strategy or program management roles within a leading management consulting firm or high-growth tech start-up
    • Outstanding stakeholder management and project management skills, with high degree of detail-orientation, organization, and autonomy
    • Problem solving skills including structuring problems, performing detailed analysis, and developing recommendations
    • Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines without compromising on quality

Typically: minimum 3-5 years of either:


    • Self-drive and ownership to own the problem end-to-end without waiting for direction
    • Start-up mentality with a strong bias for action
    • Curiosity about tech and excitement to build the region’s leading Everything App
