About the team

You will get to be part of a dynamic and autonomous team from Careem veterans to new tigers who joined on a mission to build Careem Pay all aligned on the same values of ownership, shooting to the moon, and being of service to customers, partners, colleagues, and captains. The Merchant Sales Manager at Careem Pay will help us increase the penetration of One-Click products, with medium and large companies across UAE.

You'll lead the go-to-market plan and help deliver on ambitious targets and roll up your sleeves to work directly with prospective Careem Pay merchants. The right candidate likes to exceed their objectives, and brings a successful sales experience, a keen interest in the customer experience, and possesses a self-starter spirit. You will identify opportunities and sign new businesses, with the goal of growing our merchant base.  

We are looking for a self-starting leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment and solving complicated problems with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have management and leadership experience scaling a technology sales team, superior communication skills, and a knack for understanding unique customer needs.

What you'll do

  • Strategy: Build the optimal sales strategy to ensure maximum lead generation and conversion
  • Account Management: Develop solid and long-lasting relationships as the main point of contact, and be responsible for merchant partners' engagement and satisfaction.
  • Analysis: Analyze data on accounts performance and quantify your actions; all decisions should be backed up by data insights to improve the performance of key accounts
  • Growth: Drive business growth of accounts and improve their commercial and operational performance
  • Performance Meetings: Conduct regular merchant performance reviews to update leadership on key achievements and plans
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product team, internal stakeholders and merchant counterparts to meet growth objectives

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in merchant acquisition and sales 
  • Previous experience in online merchant payments is a must
  • Excellent attention to detail, people skills, and organization skills
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable analyzing data
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office tools and related project/program management applications to drive best practice
  • Self-starter capable of managing your own time and priorities

Where you'll be

  • You’ll be working in the location you’re hired from. Due to legal and compensation considerations, you will need to be based out of Dubai.
