About the role

Careem Pay is a critical enabler of Careem’s Super App vision, and a business with massive potential outside the existing Careem ecosystem. 

Careem Pay’s vision is to become the leading digital financial services platform of the region serving consumers, partners and merchants. Our purpose is to empower people to lead better lives by simplifying their payment experiences and access to financial services. 

As an early-stage start-up within Careem, we’re looking to build a team of energized, start-up-minded and ambitious colleagues who are super excited to launch Careem’s foray into the massive fintech opportunity in the region.

As a key member of the growth team, you will be responsible for understanding our customers and turning insights into initiatives to drive growth across Careem Pay’s products and markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owning Careem Pay’s customer segmentation and growth analytics to understand who our users are and how they’re using our products.
  • Identifying key moments in the user journey and working with the product and marketing teams to create touchpoints that drive users to activation, retention, reactivation and advocacy.
  • Uncovering opportunities for growth and launching rapid experiments to test hypotheses and scale them if successful.
  • Developing dashboards to track the effectiveness of experiments, marketing campaigns and product features on our KPIs

About you

  • You have at least 6 years of work experience at a payments or fintech company, social network, P2P platform or consumer to consumer product.
  • You are skilled at Python, Excel, SQL and have worked with marketing automation and analytics tools previously
  • You are comfortable with writing scripts to automate data and reporting processes very effectively
  • You have a bias for action, and can seamlessly transition from data analysis and strategic thinking, to execution across product and marketing
  • Hands on experience with ML and ML libraries is a plus
