Identity Product Manager

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You are a customer advocate, you listen, understand and represent our customers through your words and actions as a product manager.
  • You are an excellent communicator with any audience – executive, business, design or technology. You can easily explain complex concepts to people with no domain or technical knowledge and make sure they understand the implications.
  • Understand the nuances and complexities of authentication and integrity in the identity space.
  • Experience working in an experimentation driven product environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of engineers and data scientists to deliver world-class products.
  • Fluent in engineering concepts to capture technical requirements, and ability to translate them for non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for getting data and increasing usage in the product because people love using it.
  • Passion and successful track record in championing great experiences, with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Creating product specs, working through operations issues, and helping solve user and technology problems.
  • Ability to execute in a Remote First environment

What you'll be doing:

In this role you will be working with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be based in the platform team and own the authentication and onboarding experience for anyone that interacts with our services. This includes Customers, Captains, Mechants, Partners and Corporate customers. 

You will be driving Identity Access Management throughout Careem.

  • Have an insane focus on data
  • Understanding customer needs (present and future). Ask the right questions and conduct analysis to gain current and future customer needs.
  • Driving product strategy and roadmap working with the engineering, product marketing, and customer teams -  through experimentation, learning and customer insight
  • Effectively managing organizational leadership and management.
  • Lead product specification, successful execution and competitive analysis for high-impact products and initiatives. Accustomed to leading multiple products and initiatives.
  • Identify new opportunities, size them up, make tough choices, manage the rollout and scale.
  • Keep abreast of current technologies around identity, biometrics, authentication
  • Strong grounding in experimentation tooling and experiment design to optimising product features and flows
