About the role

We are looking for a Copywriter to join the central Brand & Creative team. The candidate will get to ideate and create content that will help articulate and scale user journeys, new feature launches, regional campaigns and more. They will be a strategic thinker with a passion for turning complex consumer insights into simple yet creative customer communication . In return, they will have the opportunity to take an exciting role in helping shape and grow the Careem Super App. 

 

Scope of work

  • Content creation
      • Work closely with various stakeholders to create innovative content that aligns with brief objectives
      • Track content performance  
      • Keep a pulse check on best practices, trending local and global campaigns and industry events  
    •  Creative gatekeeper 
      • Know the Careem Style Guide inside out, and support in upholding its guidelines across all content 
      • Lead Careem’s tone of voice across the business to ensure all customer communication is on brand
    •  CRM
      • Ideate and create the copy for customer communication - such as growth hacks, user journeys and campaigns, content experiments
      • Review and track related content performance
  • Stakeholder Management: 
    • Work alongside Content Manager, Marketing Managers, Social Media Manager, and Graphic Designers to support marketing campaigns, partnerships and events 
    • Manage multiple assigned projects, and communicate clearly with each stakeholder on project timeline and deliverables

 

Candidate profile 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Sharp, creative copywriting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
  • Proven ability to successfully develop, and execute multi-channel content copies
  • Independent, proactive and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communicator with stakeholder management experience
  • Good team player, organized and good attention to detail
  • Experience in a high growth consumer-oriented startup
