We’re looking for a skilled, motivated Copywriter to join the dynamic Product Marketing & Content team to ideate, create and write content that will help define, articulate, and scale the content marketing comms, new app feature launches and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer service, and a strong alignment with our core values: be of service, be an owner and to the moon and beyond. In return, they will have the opportunity to take an exciting role in helping shape and grow the Careem Super App.The scope of the position will include;
  • Work closely with the content marketing manager and customer marketing team to write innovative content that aligns with marketing objectives.
  • Understand how to calibrate tone of voice within the framework of a brand. Lead brand’s tone of voice across the business to ensure all content & copy are on brand, and consistent in terms of style and quality.
  • Create the content such as growth experiment and activations and push notifications to align marketing campaigns with brand tone and guidelines in mind
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, customer and product teams working on daily comms. Recommend creative content strategies to support marketing efforts and product features. Work with local stakeholders to deliver best content practices.
  • Conceive, develop and produce effective campaigns.
  • Curate comms, in-app content, blogs, videos and articles.
  • Revise, edit, and proofread content as needed or directed by marketing teams.
  • Work within tight deadlines. Respond to feedback in a timely manner.
  • Check copy for spelling and grammar errors.
  • Research competitors and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Explore different ideas and concepts for both the visual and verbal elements in tandem with the creative team.
Skills & Experience required:
  • Min 3 years of relevant experience as a Copywriter/Content Writer
  • Master of written and verbal communication in English  and Arabic (preferably formal Arabic, KSA dialect a plus)
  • A creative thinker with a passion for turning consumer insights into creative articulation
  • Proven ability to successfully develop, and execute multi-channel content copies
  • Independent, proactive and critical thinking skills.
  • Communication Guru, up to date with latest trends/events
  • Good team player, organized and good attention to detail
  • Experience in a high growth consumer-oriented startup
  • Able to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Keen to work in a fast paced environment
