Hiring New Grads!

Greater Boston and North Shore

The Care Dimensions Licensed Practical Nurse Residency Program is a transition to practice program for newly graduating LPNs who would like a meaningful and exciting career in hospice and palliative care.  Our program focuses on creating a collaborative professional development environment where new graduate LPNs can safely develop their critical thinking and nursing skills while working with our patients in a variety of settings including home care.  An experienced team of clinical educators, dedicated preceptor, and experienced clinicians will support your growth as you transition into your career in hospice and palliative care nursing.  You’ll form meaningful relationships with your peers, as you share new experiences together.

Our LPN Residency program helps prepare recent LPN graduates for a career in hospice and palliative care nursing. This paid, full-time, intensive orientation program followed by a nurse residency period (total of six months) helps bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, providing you a smoother transition into a professional nursing role.

LPN residents will be employed at Care Dimensions during the residency and with successful completion of the residency, begin a full-time position as an LPN.  At the end of the residency program, the Resident will become an active member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), and work under the supervision of a Clinical Manager and collaborate with other IDT members to provide care in accordance with current professional standards and practice to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families facing a life-limiting illness.  Following the Residency, a commitment to work full-time for one year is expected for all LPN residents.

You will increase confidence in your clinical skills and judgment and enhance your critical thinking, and so much more—all in a safe, nurturing environment. You will be prepared to provide meaningful care to patients at this important and vulnerable time of their lives.
