The Nurse Clinical Educator participates in the needs assessment, content development, deployment and evaluation of education and training activities that enhance the performance, professional development, and continuing competence of hospice and palliative care clinicians. The Nurse Clinical Educator will also participate in the development and execution of innovative education programs through Healthstream® and other clinical specialty initiatives that advance the mission of Care Dimensions including the development of patient and family training content and tools
How You'll Contribute:
- Responsible for the clinical orientation of new employees by providing one-on-one and small group teaching and modeling of job duties.
- Provides clinical direction and support of orientees during on-boarding period and as needed thereafter.
- Demonstrates knowledge and comprehension of the job functions of key roles along the spectrum of care in order to create orientation content, instruct and mentor staff. .
- Performs observations or audits on practice and documentation for quality, consistency and compliance as assigned.
- Registered Nurse (BSN strongly preferred), currently licensed in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of three to five years’ experience, preferably in hospice, home care or staff development.
- Specialty Certification preferred. Will accept certification not present upon hire, must attain within 2 years of hire (e.g., Hospice and Palliative Care, Certified Nurse Educator).
- Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to the needs of adult learners in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Demonstrated expertise in educational program development and presentation in accordance with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Scope and Standards of Nursing Professional Development
- Strong assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with individuals and groups.
- Competency in the use of computer software and experience with electronic clinical applications.

The Pay Range listed is the anticipated hiring range of this position. Precise pay rates are determined through consideration of one or more of the following: education, training, relevant experience and work location. There are some cases in which the pay rate could exceed the range listed on this job post.
