As an intern on the Systems/EE team, you will help design and test the hardware of Carbon’s current and future products. You will gain a diverse set of skills and experiences with opportunities to learn about our products, grow your design skills, test hands-on with a cross functional team, improve our processes, and make memories with a fun and interesting group of people.

This full-time in office role is based at Carbon’s headquarters in Redwood City, California.

You will...

  • Work with the Electrical Engineering team to help design and test new PCBs
  • Write software to develop our PCB and Carbon firmware test infrastructure 
  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving technical issues with future Carbon hardware products

You have...

    • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technical skills
    • Strong communication skills and are able to work collaboratively and independently
    • Willingness to get your hands dirty and work on hardware on and off our printers
    • You should graduate between 2025 - 2026 with a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related a field.

At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation.  The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00 per hour.  Your actual salary will be based on your experience, work location, certifications and the unique skills you bring to the role.
