About the Role:
Reporting to the Capsule General Manager of Austin, the Associate General Manager will be a thought leader and direct manager for our growth team. You carry responsibility for growing the business primarily through partnerships with healthcare entities.
You’re a strong candidate if you’ve grown existing businesses, launched new products and business units, and managed high performing teams. You are highly skilled at leading through influence internally and externally. You are comfortable not just selling products but seeing the opportunity to define new products to be sold. You quickly put structure to ambiguity, from defining product / market fit with new high value partners, briefing requirements for sales collateral, and pulling through stalled partnerships.
When it comes to your team, closing deals, and upselling accounts, nothing is above or below you. You will do whatever it takes to grow the business, and you inspire your team to do the same. You are a player and a coach. You leverage your network and creatively help the team drive partnerships. You also learn by doing and support successful outcomes by actively joining drop ins, calls, and pitches. You communicate easily and quickly build trust with c-suite, Ops, frontline provider, and admin teams.
You are process and framework driven. You can wear multiple hats and see the business from multiple angles. You also are a capable operator and help to bridge communication between our local growth, pharmacy, and logistics teams setting up high value partnerships for operational success. You think big while staying organized on the details required to win.
What You’ll Do:
- Be a champion in the Austin market for Capsule and our modern pharmacy
- Grow and manage our provider-focused partnerships team
- Define and support execution of SMB and enterprise provider sales
- Assess and provide support to execute other strategic healthcare partnerships
- Support sales operations
- Provide direct sales support where needed, particularly helping to open doors, close deals, and execute successful product deployments
- Take our growth team’s already high performance to a new level.
- Partner closely with our central Product, Marketing, and Logistics teams
- Carry a quota based 80% on the output of your team / 20% on qualitative performance

Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience spanning sales, operations, business development, partnerships / account management
- Entrepreneurial experience and/or mindset -- You are an owner and builder
- Experience selling to frontline providers
- Experience in selling technology, ideally healthcare technology
- History of successful development of sales / partnership strategy and execution
- History of delivering results and developing your team
- Comfort with ambiguity and strong ability to bring structure
- Strategic and business-minded - you see opportunities before others do, and you easily translate your ideas into practical solutions
- Strong ability to prioritize and spend time on the work that will help drive growth for the business
- Strong communication skills, highlighted by an ability to build relationships and influence through presentations and written and verbal communications
- Organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task
- Creative and collaborative - you love working with a team and solving challenging problems
- Significant bonus points for deep relationships with Austin area provider networks
