About the role:
Capsule is seeking a Pharmacy Experience Associate that will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of basic prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues and third party rejections.
Some of the things you'll work on:
Take on inbound communications across phone, text, chat, and email and personally craft the Capsule experience: answer questions solve issues, and go above and beyond to assist with anything they need throughout their Capsule experience.
Translate prescriptions filled out by the prescriber and enter information in the patient’s profile in accordance with state regulations.
Use multiple computer systems to enter prescriptions, obtain pharmacy orders, compare to order received and produce prescription labels
Work with pharmacists per work instructions, follow workflows and procedures, with knowledge of NYS laws and regulations
Master our internal systems: develop full operational knowledge and understanding of the pharmacy and manage internal and external pharmacy operations (including communications with physicians and insurers)
Quality assurance, prescriber and patient outreach in case of contraindications, drug interactions, and resolution of third party rejections
Participate in department continuous improvement efforts
Perform additional duties as assigned
High School Diploma / GED required
Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician in a high volume or specialty setting
Must be familiar with general pharmacy terminology (SIG codes, brand and generic names of medications)
Proficiency with a computer and Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new/complex computer system application
Must be willing and available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Good self-discipline, attendance, and punctuality
Attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, ability to excel in a team environment
