The Role

We are looking for an interim Senior FP&A Analyst to join our finance team in April or early May 2024 until the end of July 2024. Please only apply if you are available to join us on an interim basis during these dates and have previous experience in an FP&A role within the lending sector. 

You will play a critical forward-looking role, providing valuable insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making for both our UK and US regions. You will directly engage senior management regarding the performance of the business and support any additional analytical work required by senior business stakeholders. 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making, drive financial performance, and support our company's overall success. Responsibilities include: 

  • Budgeting & Forecasting; Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Collaborate and challenge departments throughout the forecasting process to ensure robustness of assumption used
  • Analyse financial data, market trends, and business drivers to generate accurate forecasts and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Financial analytics; Provide analysis of performance against forecasts, identifying trends and providing updates to senior management
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes and scenario analysis
  • Strategic Decision Support; Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and strategic opportunities and present recommendations to senior management
  • Process Improvement; Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the FP&A function

What we are looking for

  • Strong FP&A experience and a relevant finance qualification
  • Lending business experience 
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience preparing financial models, forecasts and analytics
  • Ambitious and driven individual with a track record of improving and/or developing business processes
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with and interpreting large data set
