The People Team

The People Team is a small, dynamic and fun team! We are responsible for everything recruitment and HR related, and ultimately responsible for ensuring that Capital on Tap is an awesome place to work. 

We are the team that drives forward the culture and values of the business and this is especially important as we are often the first point of contact for candidates and new joiners into the business. As a team we have tonnes of energy and are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a genuine passion for people to be an advocate for our amazing company and values. 

We support our incredible team across London,Cardiff and the USA. We don’t sit on the sidelines, we understand the direction of the company and our priorities are based on growing and developing an amazing team to support our impressive growth trajectory.

The Role

We are looking for a talented and ambitious People and Talent Officer who is looking to progress or commence a career in this field whilst supporting our huge growth trajectory. This role will report directly to the People and Talent Partner for Cardiff. You will be working with leaders across the company including the Head of UK Customer Service, Head of People and Team Leaders. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to have impact, be responsible for the end to end recruitment process for Customer Operations, think creatively about how we hire and make Capital on Tap the best place to work in Cardiff. 

  • You will be the gatekeeper of talent and pre-screen our applicants via CV, phonecall, assessment centre etc. 
  • You will maintain our ATS and ensure that this is up to date for us to gather meaningful recruitment data.
  • Complete all recruitment administration. Including issuing contracts, pre-employment checks, new joiner calls. 
  • You will obsess over the candidate experience and continuously think about how we can improve. We want you to think critically about your own recruitment and onboarding process and help us to improve.
  • We want you to shout far and wide about Capital on Tap and a career in Customer Operations and help us deliver our employer branding strategy. 
  • Being best friends with bob. Make sure all employee details are accurate, tracking 1-on-1s and keeping the benefits section up to date.
  • Collating both people and recruitment data, and working with the People Team to spot trends and discuss action.
  • Helping the wider company access and understand their benefits.
  • You will care deeply about diversity and inclusion by educating hiring teams and reviewing our processes to ensure we are recruiting without bias and hiring the best talent. 
  • Be an advocate for our People and Values in Cardiff and assist on ad-hoc people (HR) projects.

What we are looking for:

This is a huge opportunity for anyone who is keen to learn more and progress in a people team. We are a small team, so how big the role becomes is really up to you as you have the chance to get involved across a huge talent remit.

  • Has a passion for customer service
  • Experience in writing professional communications
  • Has an interest in developing a career in Recruitment / HR
  • High levels of emotional intelligence and ability to work well with a wide range of people.
  • Creative and always looking for ways to improve how we recruit and improve the candidate experience.

What you'll get in return:

  • Competitive base salary £22,000 - £26,000 per annum
