KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, design, debug, and develop software solutions for Java applications.
- Create Java-based software adhering to industry best practices.
- Write and implement efficient, reusable Java code.
- Test software to ensure it meets specifications and performs effectively.
- Provide technical assistance to software users.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers to maintain high code quality.
- Work alongside product managers and designers to ensure user-centric software design.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing Java code.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Java and Java EE.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
- Familiarity with hardware and operating systems, especially Unix-based ones.
- Understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and application/web servers.
