Role Description

Capco are looking for experienced consultants with deep knowledge of Post Trade functionality across the full front to back trade lifecycle of one or more of the following products: Securities, Derivatives and FX. You will have deep change management experience and ideally prior success as a management consultant or within a change role in a Global Custodian or other large Financial Institution.


In addition, a successful candidate will have a good base of experience across the core Post Trade processes and functions. These range from:

- Global Custody- Buy and Sell Side

- Corporate and Depository services

- Settlements, Clearing and Custody

- Securities Financing- SBL and Tri-party services

- Asset Servicing

- Margin and Collateral

- Transfer Agency

- Fund Administration

One increasingly key facet of strategic change in the Post Trade world is a strong understanding of the use of Technology Partners and Vendors. A successful candidate would ideally have worked closely with Technology Partners and be familiar with the approaches utilised.


The role is to work in our Post-Trade practice to advise and deliver change projects as part of a long-term strategic partnership with leading financial institutions. The nature of work varies from short, medium- and long-term deployments but includes strategy and advisory engagements as well as complex programme delivery.

In addition to focusing on client facing engagements the candidate will also be part of the internal Domain SME team whose role is to identify and articulate the consultancy offerings that would be most beneficial to Capco’s client base.

A successful candidate would be aware of the current and future trends and initiatives in the post trade space such as T+1, CSDR, DLT etc.

Primarily located in London but there are also opportunities to be based in our Scottish office.

 

Skills & Expertise

- Work with stakeholders across all business functions to define business requirements
- Work with technology partners to translate these requirements into functional and technical design
- Support functional deployment to users, providing training and post implementation support
- Drive and own project reporting, planning, governance and management


The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills; with the ability to quickly gain credibility and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind-set are fundamental to success in this role. Candidates will be expected to manage delivery of changes and must be able to deal effectively with a wide range of technical and functional delivery groups to coordinate delivery.

A background in financial services with a strong understanding of Post Trade and change management is a must, and a background in consultancy is always appreciated but never a necessity.
