What you will do

  • Ensure the development team adheres to Lean/Agile values, development best practices, development tools, and rules;
  • Assist the Product Owner with planning, change management, and product backlog maintenance;
  • Work with the development team to estimate and refine all work adhering to Agile best practices;
  • Establish cadence and facilitate Scrum ceremonies;
  • Be a voice of reason and authority while enabling the development team to self-organize and innovate;
  • Work with teams to coordinate cross-team dependencies and risks;
  • Ensure development team is leveraging standard project and DevOps tooling;
  • Coach teams to follow development, testing and release management best practices; support with upskilling where required;
  • Manage full lifecycle application development or infrastructure projects – establishing project scope, providing status, managing risks/issues, developing and helping development team execute against Sprint and Program Increment goals;
  • Ensure that all representatives have an environment conducive to openly and honestly share information for team success;
  • Be a trusted advisor and mentor to clients and development team members on Agile Methodologies and solution delivery;
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and regularly with clients, partners, and vendors;
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum and development best practices and new trends and bring them to the team where appropriate;

What we’re looking for

  • Preferably a STEM degree, but not mandatory;
  • Experience developing and delivering technical products;
  • Previous experience as a Software Developer (writing code) is preferable;
  • In-depth knowledge and experience implementing one (or more) Agile methodologies, with experience from inception to outcomes;
  • Strong knowledge of technology operations, change and leading technical standards across Cloud, DevOps and modern applications development;
  • Working knowledge of development best practices – able to identify and introduce technical best practices to increase the team’s productivity;
  • Effective collaboration skills - A good amount of your time is spent identifying and clearing roadblocks for your team;
  • Highly effective relationship management skills, with the ability to find ways of communicating technical concepts to non-technical people;
  • Planning and estimation skills;
  • Excellent written communication, being able to articulate effective Feature, Epic and Story descriptions, Definition of Done and acceptance criteria across technical and non-technical requirements.
