Job Overview

The UK HR Business Partner Lead oversees a team of 3 to provide a proactive and professional service covering both HR Business Partnering and HR Operations. The role reports into the UK HR Director.


The HR Business Partnering team provides strategic HR support to the business, connecting business and people strategies and working to unlock the full potential of leaders and their teams. The HR Advisors and Analyst support the HR Business Partners to achieve these strategic goals, while managing the firm’s key HR Operations such as payroll, benefits administration and absence management. The HR Shared Services team in Bratislava has a dotted line into the UK HR Business Partner Lead, who provides oversight and escalation where needed.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as a trusted partner to the UK leadership team, with a clear understanding of key business goals and the HR team’s role in achieving these goals.
  • Contribute to the organisational strategy through employee engagement, performance enablement and employee relations, managing risk and facilitating the execution of the HR BP’s role in this.
  • Design solutions that enhance business performance, bringing together groups from across the business and balancing the needs of competing stakeholders to drive successful change processes.
  • Effectively use people data (e.g. employee engagement survey) and current research to generate valuable insights which help inform leadership decision-making and change plans.
  • Support leaders and managers in nurturing an environment that facilitates high levels of employee engagement, inclusion, job satisfaction and talent retention.
  • Oversee the HR Business Partnering team in facilitating the annual performance enablement process, performance improvement plans and coaching assignments.
  • Coordinate the identification of high potential talent and development of succession plans.
  • Coach and advise HR Business Partners on complex and/or sensitive people matters.
  • Investigate and support complex employee relations cases where escalation is needed.
  • Be the UK escalation point for the HR Shared Services team.
  • Connect leaders to specialist resources across HR, such as talent acquisition, talent development, DE&I, reward and global mobility.
