ROLE DESCRIPTION

Capco is looking for experienced financial services SQL Developers across multiple levels.  This role offers the chance to advise and deliver change projects as part of a long-term strategic partnership with leading financial institutions.

Roles will have a global focus and will entail collaborating with Business, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Technology, analysing and developing business and technical requirement, effective ways of working and identifying and reporting risks, issues and dependencies.

 The preferred candidate will be expected to:

  • Be a self-motivator working in a team of Capco and client colleagues
  • Work closely with stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) to perceive new and better ways of working
  • Recommend areas for change and then provide support to the business as the changes develop to ensure continuous improvement

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • RDBMS & DWH- BI knowledge
  • Exceptional skill in the design and development of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and SQL Server tables, stored procedures, views and trigger.
  • Ability to design, develop and maintain appropriately scaled, effective solutions to support data quality, migration and reconciliation activity in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL and related tools.
  • Advanced T-SQL skills and strong knowledge of ETL techniques
  • Creating and analysing complex queries, store procedures, tables, views, triggers, functions, SQL Jobs.
  • Hands on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for designing and creating custom reports.
  • Design and implementation of SSIS, and ETL based on business requirements
  • Understanding of Database Design, Integrity, and optimization process.
  • In depth experience of performance-tuning SQL Server databases code and environments, and SQL profiling.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills. Able to understand business requirements and develop SQL Server solutions that work within the technical boundaries.
  • Experience or some familiarity with using REST connectors, APIs in sourcing data from on perm as well as Cloud systems (Google Cloud preferred)
