ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with Chief Data, Analytics and IT Officers across the world’s largest Financial Institutions to perform consulting engagement roles such as:

  • Design the pillars for Data Governance, Metadata Mgt, MDM, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, Sourcing and Staging of data, BI, Advanced Analytics and R&D in close alignment with business functions and enterprise Information management.
  • Create and manage Data and analytics architecture, processes, and solutions.
  • Overall responsibility of the technology decisions for data & analytics platforms.
  • Responsible for strategic roadmaps that describe the journey to target state for all Data & Analytics domains.
  • Responsible for implementation of the data quality strategy.
  • Reviewing maturity of high-level designs and implementations to ensure quality, coherence and consistency.
  • Deliver standards & patterns, controls on how the organisation would like to deploy services in a standard & repeatable way.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Experience as a consulting or enterprise lead in a multinational organization in at least three of the following disciplines:
    • Data Governance
    • Metadata Management – Data architecture, lineage, and enterprise data models
    • Master Data Management – Master & reference data and hierarchy management
    • Data Quality – master and transactional data
    • Data Warehousing – global scale enterprise data warehouses
    • Reporting – operations, management, and key metrics
    • Self Service BI
    • Advanced and ad hoc analytics
    • R&D for data and analytics technologies
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences especially with non-technical business functions
  • Experience in data management and architecture maturity frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM and TOGAF
  • Strong drive to get things done in a complex and changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps)
  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of technology alternatives in terms of benefit and cost
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models

Preferred:

  • Accreditations in data management and architecture maturity frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM and TOGAF
  • Experience architecting & implementing data strategy, solutions & governance models.
  • Experience of aligning data architecture & strategy across multiple programmes, work streams and business units.
  • Experience using Cloud data technologies to develop enterprise Data platforms.
  • Experience of Financial Services with proven leadership skills and ability to operate in complex environments/projects, managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • An understanding or interest in Graph computing and semantic data modelling.
