About the Role

PlatformZero is looking for talented, innovative, and creative people to join our Application Support Team, work across several projects and support our overall production. As a PlatformZero Application Reliability Engineer (ARE), you will be a key team member, collaborating across the various platform and client development teams, using best practice to uphold PlatformZero product strategy and integrity through product release and run.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and resolve all application problems in production
  • Conduct RCAs to provide data driven process of improvement
  • Follow SaaS Ops guidelines and meet SLA objectives
  • Perform application quality assessments (based on design/code/runtime measurements)
  • Perform preventative maintenance based on data driven decisions.
  • Self-starter with innovation, integrity, and attention to details
  • Familiarity with modern cloud-based, microservices architecture web applications
  • Proactively lead significant system events, product launches and transaction growth
  • Provide RCAs and quality best practices feedback to core engineering team members
  • Handle validations and cutover of key infrastructure upgrade activities
  • Responding to alerts and incidents as member of an on-call rotation

This role will have after hours / on-call obligations.

About You

Capco is looking to hire an ambitious, team-player with technical and product application experience.

Education & Experience

  • E/B. Comp Sci. degree or higher in a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working in development
  • Expertise of full-stack technologies is required (Java, Angular, MySQL, etc)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and deductive skills, analytical approach to technical problems; must be able to use monitoring tools to identify issues etc.
  • Production and Cloud (Azure) Deployment experience would be an added advantage
  • Excellent people skills with ability to lead by example and motivate team members
  • Ability work in fast pace environment while following best practice and company process
  • Highly driven and passionate about technology, product development and product success
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions
  • Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven team-player attitude
