Canopy is a new startup in NYC, Boston & SF that is giving people back control of their data with private machine learning.  We’re building an app to help people discover the sights, sounds and stories that inspire their lives. We aim to connect people to the best parts of the internet every day, without compromising their identity or their privacy.  We’re looking for an experienced product designer to join our team.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You are excited about creating novel user experiences that change the way people think about privacy and discovery.

  • You are fluent with industry standard tools and are able to manage the entire mobile design process, from research to sketches to high-fidelity prototypes to launch.

  • You are a passionate advocate for design and enjoy partnering with engineers, product teams, and others to build and ship products that people love.

  • Your portfolio demonstrates creative, effective and forward-looking UX solutions, especially on mobile, as well as extraordinary visual design.

  • You anticipate needs and take initiative, you communicate thoughtfully, and you’re comfortable giving and accepting feedback.

  • You care deeply about the social implications of algorithmic systems, including addressing fairness, transparency and bias in machine learning, or are curious and eager to learn more.
