As a Data Engineer at Cannondale, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and processes critical to our business operations. You will be responsible for creating efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes in Azure Data Factory, managing and optimizing our Snowflake instance, and collaborating with both IT and Business stakeholders to fulfill new data requests and ensure data quality and integrity. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
  • Design and manage our Snowflake data warehouse instance, including schema definition, performance tuning, capacity planning, and security management.
  • Collaborate with IT and Business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Structure and optimize data in the data warehouse and other application systems to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve any issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure data availability.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and recommend improvements to enhance data infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4-5+ years of proven experience working as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.
  • Experience with SAP BW a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse/Fabric a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Certification in Azure Data Engineering or Snowflake Administration.
