Come Ride With Us at the Cannondale Wilton Office as our new Global Procurement Director for Engineered Components, where you will put your global category management team in the right gear, leading sourcing and procurement strategies for key categories across the entirety of the Pon.Bike* brand portfolio. In addition, you will work with your team on topics such as sustainability, CSR, and CO2 emissions reduction throughout the supply chain, along with identifying possible opportunities for re-shoring or joint ventures. How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Develop purchasing strategies for collaboration within the production chain of engineered components with international production partners. 
  • Professionalize and coach category managers within the global remote teams located in Wilton CT, Dieren Netherlands, Emstek Germany, and Stuttgart Germany, fostering mutual cooperation with various bicycle brands. 
  • Maintain close communication with the team, offering support in complex processes and facilitating negotiations. 
  • Utilize expertise to evaluate new opportunities and market developments, identifying prospects for joint ventures, volume commitments, or reshoring initiatives. 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with production partners and brands across the portfolio, collaborating with colleagues globally. 
  • Ensure a balanced approach to quality, reliability, and costs, with a growing emphasis on sustainability. 
  • Lead the development of the appropriate supply base within the team. 
  • Elevate strategic procurement within the bicycle industry, focusing on innovation, quality, and supplier delivery reliability. 
  • Adhere to internal controls and company policies while fulfilling job responsibilities. 
  • Contribute to the company's success by leading or supporting other assigned projects and tasks. 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, or supply chain management 
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with management skills in an international production environment.  
  • Knowledge of and/or passion for the cycling industry. 
  • Prior experience successfully managing a remote global team. 
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English; German proficiency a plus. 
  • Entrepreneurial and adept at turning vision into actionable plans and tangible outcomes. 
  • Ability to identify and seize opportunities to drive success. 
  • Strong analytical skills, process-driven, and ability to navigate complex and dynamic environments effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.  
  • Desire to thrive in environments with diverse perspectives and challenging projects. Ability to maintain a broad perspective, foster connections, and effectively collaborate. 
  • Ability to travel both domestic and/or international up to 25%
