We are looking for a Treasury & Payment Operations Manager to lead activities related to crypto and fiat treasury operations at Candy Digital. This role will report to the VP of Finance and plays a key strategic role in partnering with our Product,  Engineering, Risk and Customer Success teams to deliver payment operations solutions and financial controls across the business. As Treasury & Payment Operations Manager, you will lead and grow a world class function responsible for all aspects of crypto and fiat cash movements. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of crypto related concepts and products with significant experience in treasury operations especially cash management, wallet and crypto operations, cash forecasting, liquidity management and investments. Ideally, this person will have experience supporting product launches in the crypto space or must be able to quickly learn about new cryptocurrencies and crypto product initiatives like staking. You will support day-to-day banking and crypto operations, ensuring proper internal controls, provide continual monitoring and timely settlement of transactions across various payment rails (ACH, wires, and card), payments reconciliations, and development of reporting and tooling to support treasury activities, transaction execution and risk management.

 

This role provides the candidate a broad view into Candy’s entire finance organization while working closely with the crypto products, engineering teams, and risk management. We are looking for a candidate who will be a thought leader on treasury, risk mitigation and control issues as we seek to promote efficiency and scale. AS OUR MOST VALUABLE PLAYER, YOU WILL...

  • Work with the Product and Engineering teams to determine appropriate treasury operations setup and fund  flows as well as represent treasury in product enablement discussions including prioritization of projects.
  • Develop, update and monitor treasury and payment operational policies; and support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Lead projects to enhance treasury and payment operations capabilities related to both crypto and fiat operations.
  • Lead crypto related treasury operations activities including: managing digital asset flows between wallets, forecasting liquidity and inventory needs for crypto operations, and setting up cash and liquidity management operations for cryptocurrencies and stablecoins
  • Implement best practices and automation of key treasury and payment processes; work with key stakeholders in instituting process improvements.
  • Continuously evaluating internal process controls to identify treasury and payment operations weaknesses and any associated risks, as well as making recommendations on how to mitigate those risks
  • Proactively seeking ways to improve current processes and reduce repeat issues by identifying common causes.
  • Establish processes to track and report on key treasury operating metrics.
  • Collaborating with product and engineering to build-out critical tools, automate routine work where possible, and address longer-term or recurring issues - partly through design of monitors, reports, and dashboards that capture deep insights into our business through indicators, visualizations, and early warning mechanisms.
  • Developing and maintaining operational processes through documentation updates and cross-training. 
  • Owning and building relationships with key external payment operations stakeholders at banks and service providers
  • Partnering closely with our Head of Fraud and Risk to help protect the business and improve revenue integrity controls and global risk performance

 

WHO ARE YOU?

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline. Advanced degree in a related area preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience with substantial experience/knowledge in corporate treasury operations and preferably in crypto space.
  • Ability to interact, influence and build relationships at all levels of seniority and across all functions within an organization.
  • A process-oriented mindset to think critically in a fast paced environment with a driven attitude to improving standards. 
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and use good judgment to establish order or priorities on the fly.
  • Established ability to independently organize, analyze and interpret information to explain problems, irregularities or trends. 
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience utilizing SQL or similar data query languages preferred.

Total Compensation Range (Base + Equity): 150k-200k per year

Our compensation package currently breaks down into a base salary and an equity component for all employees. The candidate’s seniority and the evaluations made of that candidate during the interview process determine compensation.
