Role

We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join the Candid team and play an important role in defining and communicating value propositions and differentiators across our suite of products. Ultimately these will be expressed in-product, in key marketing channels, and through our sales teams–engaging most deeply on our core B2B clear aligner system offering.

This is both a strategic and a hands-on, independent contributor role that will own the product marketing narrative and help oversee content execution. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role will work cross-functionally with product, operations, creative, and field teams, as well as across the Marketing organization as a whole. This role will be instrumental in assessing market needs, conducting research and driving new product development, go-to-market plans, and opportunities to improve existing products and content in the field as well as in mass channels.

The ideal candidate will also have a strong foundation in dental or orthodontic markets, as well as a track record of shaping product strategy, growing product adoption, and a strong working knowledge of marketing channels and tactics.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and drive a strategy for our dental practitioner-focused treatment and product offerings in conjunction with Product and Marketing (Performance, Brand, Creative) teams - both for existing and future products
  • Own the voice of the customer and be a true expert on our dental professional audience and their patients - understanding who they are, what they need, and how we fit in
  • Lead market/buyer/user assessments, quantitative analysis, and qualitative feedback
  • Manage multiple programs, timelines, and priorities by strategically driving initiatives in a hands on manner
  • Drive major strategic projects including competitive analysis, pricing, product positioning and messaging, and developing adoption plans
  • Build and execute on GTM strategies to drive launch, adoption and continued growth of products, aligned to company and product KPIs
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Sales to unify our narrative, amplify our strategy, and build more collaborative and efficient work processes
  • Empower our Sales teams with strategic content and sales process support from initial touch to contract, and champion a strong feedback loop between sales and product
  • Drive testing agenda for new products work across the business based on consumer insights and market trends

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • Overall 8+ years of experience driving go-to-market or product marketing in the B2B dental or orthodontic space
  • Demonstrably strong emphasis on data-backed strategic insights, value proposition design, and sales team enablement
  • Ability to identify target market segments, understand customer needs, and develop strategies to position the company as a trusted and innovative partner.
  • Data driven decision maker, able to self-serve insights both qualitative and quantitative and translate those into content, even in ambiguous settings
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, influencer, and stakeholder manager, both cross-functionally and with exec level stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, easily transition from high level strategic thinking to detailed creative execution, and independently drive initiatives forward
  • Working knowledge of how product strategies come to life across a variety of content channels (ex: product website, email, collateral, paid advertising, editorial)
  • Excellent understanding of legal and regulatory environment (ideally in healthcare) marketing, promotions, and other compliance-related issues

Pay & Perks

  • Competitive compensation
  • Stock option plan to give our employees a direct stake in Candid’s success
  • Unlimited PTO to give our employees a little extra R&R when they need it
  • Work from home stipend
  • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision) and generous parental leave
  • Significant discount on our customized treatment plans and aligners
  • You will grow a lot here. You’ll be surrounded by employees with deep experience in their field, who have a strong passion for doing great work and constantly learning

Our range for this role is $175,000-195,000. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other perks. To determine our range, we consider as many of the following data points as are available to us: external market salary survey data, experience level, skillset and balancing internal equity relative to our other employees. We include equity in our compensation packages because we believe our employees should have an option to purchase ownership in the company and benefit from what we hope will be a lot of upside growth. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Candid to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
