About the Role:

Cana is looking for a Hardware Test Technician that can support the hardware design team with product prototyping, development, test fixturing and measurement of a consumer beverage system. You should be comfortable in an electronics lab environment with standard electrical rework, test and measurement procedures, equipment and documentation, as well as with mechanical drawings, tools and assembly procedures. You should be knowledgeable and experienced in the construction of wire & cable harnesses using standard tooling and components. You will also ideally have experience evaluating valves, pumps, relays and other electromechanical/fluidic hardware for functionality and performance.


  • Build and debug electro-mechanical assemblies incorporating mixed signal PCBA, wiring-harnesses, fluidics system, and fixtures
  • Wire/Cable harness design & construction from mechanical drawings
  • PCBA electrical rework, from through hole to fine pitch and QFN/BGA components
  • Execute complex test procedures, identify stated and unstated anomalies in physical test processes
  • Implement mechanical and electrical test procedures using standard lab equipment and custom test fixtures
  • Create custom test fixtures from standard assembly drawings, schematics and BOM documentation

Key Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and familiarity with electrical lab test equipment such as DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, electronic loads, thermal cameras and data acquisition modules
  • Extensive experience with soldering and rework of electrical assemblies using standard rework tools
  • Experience with building wire and cable harnesses using standard tooling and components
  • Working knowledge of shop and mechanical lab equipment
  • Experience with embedded systems, consumer electronics and/or commercial products
  • Experience with EE CAD viewer tools such as Altium, ability to read electrical schematics and PCB layout
  • Experience with ME CAD viewer tools such as AutoCAD or Solidworks and ability to navigate mechanical designs, particularly wire and cable harnessing
  • Experience with electrical & mechanical assembly testing for development and production
