Position Overview
The Student Affairs department is based out of New York and is responsible for overseeing virtual events, educational programming, career services, transfer services, overseeing orientation and graduation.
As the Transfer Coordinator, you will serve as a vital resource for students enrolled at Campus who are planning to transfer to four-year universities. Your primary objective will be to guide and assist these students through every step of the transfer process, from initial inquiry to enrollment at their chosen institution. This will involve evaluating transfer credits, assisting with application procedures, providing academic advising, and offering guidance on financial aid options.
What you’ll do:
- Provide personalized guidance and support to Campus students interested in transferring to four-year universities, assisting them in navigating the transfer process from start to finish
- Evaluate transfer credits and assist students in understanding how their previous coursework aligns with the requirements of their desired programs at target universities
- Collaborate with the General Manager of University Partnerships to develop individualized transfer plans tailored to each student’s academic goal and aspirations
- Organize and facilitate transfer workshops, information sessions, and outreach events to educate students about transfer opportunities, application procedures, and available resources
About you:
- Associates degree required, bachelor’s preferred
- Minimum of two years of professional work experience in admissions, records, registration, and/or closely related experience within a higher educational setting.
- Ability to provide academic support or advising - create plans and setting goals
- Experience with student information systems, CRM (Salesforce preferred), and course equivalency (e.g. CollegeTransfer.net) tools.
- Experience in community colleges working with transfer initiatives.Transfer credit evaluation experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of transfer best practices, articulation, and program pathways.
- Ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
- Excellent planning skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound professional judgment, flexibility, willingness to learn, and the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on time-sensitive projects.
Location:
- NYC | Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in our Tribeca office from 10 am to 7 pm EST daily
