The Position

CallRail is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SEO Specialist to support the development and execution of a comprehensive SEO strategy. In this role you will focus on optimizing CallRail’s search engine visibility, driving organic traffic, and contributing to the growth of revenue. Organic traffic is a significant driver of our website’s performance and this role will play a key part in maintaining and expanding that success. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, SEO and part of the broader Growth Marketing team, this role works cross-functionally with partners in Web, Content, Demand, and Product. Your responsibilities will include keyword research, auditing, on-page optimization, content creation inside of our CMS, and providing actionable insights to improve organic visibility. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals.

As an SEO Specialist at CallRail, you’ll directly contribute to our goal of driving measurable growth in leads and customers through our organic search channel. By working under the Senior Manager, SEO and closely with other team members, you’ll help ensure that CallRail remains a leader in organic search performance while aligning SEO initiatives with broader company goals.

 

What You'll Do 

  • Content Creation & Optimization:
    • Collaborate with Senior Manager, SEO to create new organic content such as articles or landing pages within our CMS based on research, search trends, and business objectives.
    • Optimize existing content for search visibility through methods such as improving structure, keywords, meta tags, headings, readability, and on-page SEO elements.
    • Conduct keyword and customer research to produce the most searchable content for our audiences.
    • Ensure content meets quality, relevance, and search intent standards while also aligning with brand voice and messaging.
    • Ensure all content follows on-page SEO best practices, including proper use of H1s, meta descriptions, alt text, and schema markup where necessary.
    • Contribute to community forums like Reddit and Quora with value-focused commentary and responses.
    • Utilize AI tools to enhance content creation, optimization, and research processes. This includes incorporating AI-driven solutions for content generation, keyword analysis, topic ideation, and content enhancement to improve efficiency and maintain high-quality output.
  • Content Auditing:
    • Perform regular content audits to assess existing content for SEO improvements, performance issues, and opportunities for updates.
    • Identify underperforming pages and create strategies for improvement, including repurposing or refreshing old content.
    • Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc., to track content performance, keyword rankings, traffic, and user behavior.
  • Competitor Analysis:
    • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify areas where competitors are excelling in search and find opportunities to outperform them through content.
    • Monitor and analyze competitor content strategies and recommend improvements based on industry best practices.
  • Internal Linking & Content Architecture:
    • Analyze and execute internal linking strategy to enhance SEO equity distribution across the site to improve user experience, content discoverability, and boost page authority.

 

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of proven experience in Search Engine Optimization, specifically with content and on-page optimization.
  • Good knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and data visualization tools
  • Experience with SEO software like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Surfer and others.
  • Comfortable with AI-assisted content processes
  • Experience executing organic content strategies and optimizing pages for search intent and user engagement.
  • Knowledge of adding internal links to organic articles to strategically connect relevant content across the website.
  • Basic understanding of business KPIs and how SEO impacts them
  • Knowledge of technical SEO, HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms is a plus
  • Strong problem solving abilities and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent organization, communication, and collaborative skills

This position is based out of our Atlanta office and will require that you come into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
