The Senior Sales Associate is a supervisory role that reports to the Store Manager. The role’s primary function is sales floor and team support. SSAs lead by example at all times, coaching and mentoring the Sales Associates while maintaining the best customer experience by cultivating strong customer relationships based on knowledge and passion for the brand and products. The Senior Sales Associate is responsible for acting with enthusiasm, focus and maintaining a sense of urgency. The SSA is responsible for engaging customers, ensuring they are cared for, servicing their needs, and treating them with the utmost respect. Senior Sales Associates model the way for other team members as they evaluate the needs of our customers and offer information about our variety of products while driving sales and achieving set revenue and store goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the tone on the sales floor: acknowledge and service customers with a welcoming and informative disposition
  • Lead by example at all times, provide guidance, motivate and inspire the team
  • Ensure the sales floor is running efficiently during leader-on-duty shifts, resolve any customer concerns that arise, manage employee breaks, and clearly communicate current objectives to the team
  • Accountable for driving and achieving established revenue goals and KPIs
  • Be a Caliva expert by remaining educated on new and existing products and promotions
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed
  • Support the store experience by performing various operational tasks and delegate as needed
  • Perform opening and closing procedures 
  • Be an active participant in weekly leadership meetings 
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and organizational standards inside and out
  • Communicate effectively with all store leaders and team members 
  • Maintain professionalism in your appearance, attitude, and communication
  • Oversee the daily sales ledger, shift logs, and KPI tracking and reporting
  • Adhere to all city and state regulations
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

What You Have

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S
  • 1-2 years of retail leadership or customer service-related experience
  • Must be able to pass a background check including those that may be city mandated 
  • Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Entry-level knowledge of cannabis products and related vocabulary is preferred
