The DTC (Direct to Consumer) Delivery Operations Associate will support the daily operations of the Delivery department in a customer service associate and delivery driver capacity.  You are responsible for ensuring customers’ delivery orders are fulfilled in a timely and acceptable manner while providing an exceptional customer experience. You will also be expected to work in a customer service capacity by responding to customer inquiries/concerns via phone, email, and chat.   In working cross-functionally with both the Driving Team and the Order Fulfillment Team, you will understand the customer order life cycle from end to end in order to efficiently facilitate delivery orders.

What You’ll Do

  • Demonstrate world class customer service by ensuring all duties performed contribute to a positive and successful customer experience.
  • Provide accurate, timely, information in oral, written, and electronic communication to both customers and staff.
  • Fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently while being scrupulous about inventory accuracy.
  • Show appropriate patience and implement strong problem-solving skills, while taking the initiative to address concerns/issues with customers and vendors.
  • Obey all traffic laws and health safety protocols when making deliveries to ensure the safety of you, our customers, and the community.
  • Resolve challenging, time-sensitive issues, while maintaining customer confidence.
  • Remain educated and informed about all products and up to date on promotions or sales.
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and as an individual contributor.
  • Assist in keeping a sanitary and clean work environment.
  • Act as an ambassador of Caliva through representing the Caliva Values.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance, approach, and communication.
  • May be required to assist with other aspects of the business including marketing, promotion, inventory, and other areas as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Have

  • Administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, comfortability with various software and databases.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in both priorities and work environment.
  • Self-Starter with able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in delivery industry preferred, not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Cannabis experience a plus but not required.

Working Environment

  • This position will work in an indoor office or warehouse-like facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, and working in close proximity with customers and staff.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to travel to assigned locations, frequent travel required.

Job Requirements

  • Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
  • Ability to use computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent travel to different locations throughout assigned area, particularly during peak times.
  • Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.
  • Must have own form of transportation that meets inspection requirements of the company or municipality operating within.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement.
