As Packaging Associate, you are responsible for packaging, sealing and labeling cannabis flower and cannabis products.

What You’ll Do

  • Accurately weigh cannabis in various increments from grams to ounces.
  • Accurately place weighed product into proper childproof bags or containers.
  • Correctly seal and label all packages.
  • Quickly assemble secondary and tertiary package elements such as branded inserts, boxes, etc., for cannabis products.
  • Operate basic machinery like band sealers, hand scales, etc.
  • Flexibility needed in daily activities such as helping other departments and frequent rotation through product types.
  • Data entry within various department platforms including Track & Trace system.
  • Detail oriented & capable of performing quality control checks on finished goods (sticker placement, package integrity, etc.).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

  • Independent worker able to plan and prioritize workflow.
  • Good communication skills needed.
  • Some cannabis experience preferred.

Working Environment

  • This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and work in close proximity with staff.

Job Requirements

  • Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the San Jose Police Department.
