As the largest, most vertically integrated cannabis company in California we have a tremendous opportunity to drive value through innovation, integration, and expansion of our technology platforms.  To help accelerate our rapid growth we need help seizing the opportunity to bring together multiple software and infrastructure development projects and teams across e-commerce, ERP, and Google cloud platforms.  As Technical Project Manager you will be at the center of digital transformations and integrations with responsibility for roadmap planning and execution coordinating across teams and leading Jira configuration and documentation efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight and bottoms up detail from planning to execution
  • Provide program level coordination across multiple projects
  • Manage development and delivery of all software, integration and infrastructure projects
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company strategy and goals and coordinate various technical resources to successful implementation including time and budget management 
  • Communicate proactively with key stakeholders and customers to ensure smooth operation and delivery of projects. Identify problems, create solutions and implement efficiency improvements including internal tooling.
  • Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news
  • Use your technical background and product knowledge to proactively identify and articulate risks and drive their resolution
  • Provide expert level administration of Jira/Atlassian
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Developers to craft effective development tickets, stories and epics.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the IT field, including cross-functional and customer interactions
  • Experience with CI/CD, Agile, Scrum methodologies
  • Extensive Jira administration experience
  • Experience in software development in a commercial environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Working Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to travel to other office locations.
  • 60% on-site presence when Covid restrictions SIP lifts.

Job Requirements

  • Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule.
  • Must be able to travel to other office locations.
  • Ability to use a computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
  • Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Must have own transportation.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the San Jose Police Department.
