OB TITLE: Business Development Associate REPORTS TO: Business Development Director
DEPARTMENT: Business Development FLSA STATUS: Full-Time; Non-exempt
SUMMARY
The Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for new business development through sourcing and lead generating efforts. The BDA will pass these sourced leads to their assigned Business Development Director’s for closing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct market research to identify potential clients that align with our locum growth strategy.
· Identify and qualify leads through various channels, including online research and cold outreach. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a steady pipeline of potential clients.
· Reach out to prospective clients through email, phone calls, and social media to introduce our company's products or services. Present compelling value propositions and schedule meetings for their assigned BDD.
· Support the sales and marketing teams to create persuasive business proposals and presentations. Assist in preparing sales collateral and supporting documentation to showcase our offerings effectively.
· Work closely with the sales team to provide administrative support throughout the sales process.
· Work collaboratively with recruiting, marketing, and business development leaders, to deploy a strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals align business development efforts with overall company goals. Contribute ideas and insights to optimize strategies and contribute feedback for process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
· Prior experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role is preferred but not mandatory. Internships or relevant coursework demonstrating an understanding of business development principles are also beneficial.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to articulate ideas clearly, create compelling presentations, and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct market research, interpret data, and make informed business recommendations.
· Proactive and results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
· Collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn from senior team members and contribute to a positive team environment. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively across departments.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel).
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Openness to new ideas, willingness to embrace challenges, and ability to adapt strategies as needed.
